Who's Reading TMI: Singapore actor/singer Nat Ho

There's nothing quite as exciting as seeing people pulled into the world of Shadowhunters. Sometimes I know I get totally overwhelmed with all the casting news that I forget why the series means so much to me: the books.

The world of The Mortal Instruments is ever growing. With the fifth book in the series, City of Lost Souls, a resounding success, and the promise of the CoB cast drawing closer and closer, it's no wonder that legions of new fans would come out of the woodwork.
One such person is Nat Ho. I saw that he was reading City of Bones and was obviously curious if he had tried out for a role. We've seen quite a few names added to the list of over 100 contenders for the role of Magnus: Shannon Kook, Eston Fung, Ross Butler, Simon Raymond, Austin Ku, etc. Now, I have no clue if Nat has auditioned or just came across the books as something amazing to do, but I thought I'd share a little about him anyway.

According to his website, Nat Ho is a familiar face in Singapore’s Entertainment industry, having cut his teeth as Model as well as Actor in Mediacorp for four years before finally leaving to pursue his First Love: Music.

Classically-trained in Piano since the age of 3, Music was a constant companion throughout his school years, having been in the Music Elective Programme in Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) as well as being a part of the International Award-winning Choir in Anglo-Chinese Junior College.

His craft as a Performer was further honed in the Singapore Armed Forces Music and Drama Company, where he was awarded the “Most Promising Artiste” Award.

Nat’s official initiation into the Industry earned him a “Best Newcomer” nomination in Mediacorp’s Star Awards 2007 as well as a “Favourite Male TV Character” Award in Mediacorp’s Star Awards 2010.

2012 marks the year of Nat Ho as a Singer and Songwriter, releasing his self-composed debut EP, “Unleashed”. With the support of his strong fan-base in Singapore, Nat will be venturing into the overseas markets later this year.

Nat played it a little coy, but he had this to say on his Twitter account:
